Stage Name: "Duke"
Earl has been playing in bands in Hawaii, Washington and Texas since 1969,
with performances extending into California and Nevada. Beginning with piano
lessons at age 4, Earl picked up a number of instruments along the way, including
trumpet, bass guitar, drums, trombone, baritone, tuba, guitar and French horn.
Some of the bands Earl have played in: Pacific Transit & Co. (in Hawaii), Daybreak
(Christian ministry in Seattle), Kid KOMO (Seattle) and Jonah & The Whales (Texas and Denver).
In May 2000, he joined Hot Flash Band.
Among the honors Earl have received are his selection to the All Student Band USA on a
tour through Europe and representing his high school in the Hula Bowl Marching Band two years
in a row. He also received a number of ADDY Awards for jingles and television commercials he wrote and produced while working for the NBC affiliate and Time Warner Cable in Central Texas.
Earl lives in the Denver area with his wife and 2 kids.
